Design features
The 136’s heavy construction and rigid refiner case supports maintain tram alignment unsurpassed in the industry. With heavy duty motor supports, 1”(2.54cm) thick mounting plate and 2”(5.08cm) diameter threaded motor mounting rods, vibration is greatly reduced. Additionally, all process contact parts are constructed with 316 stainless steel for increased operating life.
Quick release mechanism
The location of the grind disc, which controls plate gap, is accurately controlled within thousandths of an inch by a hand wheel and indicator dial. The disc is held in position with springs that maintain a constant loading pressure. CCMC’s quick release mechanism is designed for simple and easy retraction of the grind disc, and includes a safety lock that prevents accidental clashing of the grind plates.
The INPRO/SEAL bearing isolator
CCMC has incorporated into the design of the 136 Single Disc Mill one of the industry’s finest bearing isolators - the INPRO/SEAL bearing isolator. This design provides a positive vapor seal when the seal is stationary but has no contacting parts when the shaft is rotating. The INPRO/SEAL bearing isolator hermetically seals the bearing housing from any possible contaminate in the bearings and the lubricating medium.
Quick belt change
One of the 136 Single Disc Mill’s exclusive feature is the quick belt change option. This feature was designed with efficiency in mind and for simplified maintenance of the drive belts, resulting in less downtime.Changing belts is a simple three step operation. After the belt tension is released and the anchor bolts removed from the outboard housing, the support blocks are pulled-out from under the bearing housing, allowing the old belts be easily removed. Reverse the process and installation of new belts is just as simple.
