The Tube Bundle Dryer consists of a firmly installed housing with a rotating tube bundle inside. The tube bundle consists of two Dryer heads, two tube plates and of tubes rolled into the plates. The number, length and diameter of these tubes determine the total heating surface and , consequently, the heating capacity of the dryer.

 

The tube bundle is heated with steam. It works on the basis of a reverse flow (steam flow versus product flow). The product to be heated gets in contact with the steam-heated tubes only, not with the heating agent steam itself (mere contact drying).
